Tervetuloa Kennel Malinuts: iin!

Kennel Malinuts was established in 1999, by first J-litter registered. We´ve had dogs in our house since late 1800´s- mainly for using them for hunting and herding. Our first BSD, "Hiski", stepped from the door in 1993; race was selected only due to Helsinki Winner Show´s photos and outlook of Tervueren.

I started to train obedience in working dog clubs field and rescuesearch in terrance. Hiski was extremely high in drives- he was very hard and had way too much fighting spirit for a young girl to handle. Training was sometimes full war between two hard-headed and stubborn morons; especially when Hiski was owned by my aunt and all learned things were sort of ignored by her in everyday life, outside the training field. Nevertheless- the spark for working dogs had raised.

Decision about getting dog of my own, for competing purposes, was not hard. Tho- to choose the race was. I wanted light-structured dog, which should be just littlebit easier to train than our Tervueren. With pleasure -also shorter hair would be nice (I like mud and sand outside rather than in the house..) Hated Malinois at the time. Ugly and..ugly and..Still -I was ready to compromise from the outlook, if just there wouldnt be same kind of dog in every corner. Went to see litters and puppies after another, but none of them raised my interest. Until that age, one should already understand, that nothing happends without reason..

One week, there was BSD breedclubs magazine on postbox. On it´s list for puppies, there was one litter of Malinois waited to be born in January. Something moved inside of me, I took the phone and called, made a reservation for bitch puppy without seeing parents -without knowing anything. When saying those words, I had no idea, how much they were going to change my life.

As years have gone by, I´ve learned a lot and had valuable information from more experienced breeders and devotees. Than You Satu, Kirsi, Bart, Taru and numerous others. My breedingwork has been and will remain small, at the moment I try to focus on increasing the valuable genepool trying to stay in breedstandard, avoiding extremes in all sides.
